Tunnel boring machines work especially in the cutting wheel with overpressure. Compressed air workers, professional divers and saturation divers are deployed here worldwide.

Another area where overpressure work is used are the so-called caissons.
These are used to enable dry work under water. Caissons are lifted, floated in or even flown in with helicopters. The workers can enter the caisson through a lock and then carry out the work in the dry. Lock keepers, compressed air officers, professional divers and compressed air workers accompany the project throughout the entire construction phase.
